Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rainfall continues to lash Kerala, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an Orange Alert for 12 districts on Tuesday.
The Orange Alert is in effect for all districts except Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam, where a Yellow Alert has been issued.
In view of the intensifying rainfall, district authorities have declared a holiday for educational institutions in 10 districts. The holiday applies to schools, colleges and other educational institutions as notified by the respective district administrations.
