Congress will face complete electoral wipeout in 2029 Lok Sabha polls, says Mohan Yadav

Jabalpur: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday predicted that the Congress would lose its remaining political influence across the country following the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.

He made the remarks while addressing a gathering at the conclusion of the BJP’s ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ (Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy) foot march in Jabalpur.

Taking a swipe at the Congress and Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, Yadav referred to the Emergency imposed by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and criticised the party’s political record.

“The Congress has already been wiped out in 80 per cent of the country. It will also lose its remaining strongholds in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections,” he said.

The Chief Minister asserted that the party’s electoral presence would further decline in the coming years.
