Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala’s Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister J Chinchu Rani has confirmed that milk prices in the state will soon be revised upward to ensure better returns for dairy farmers.
The minister clarified that Milma, the state’s cooperative milk federation, holds the authority to fix the new price. The government has already completed the required formalities for the revision.
A five-member expert committee had studied the issue and recommended a price hike. Its report will serve as the basis for implementing the new rates.
