New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the nation on the occasion of Constitution Day, marking the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution. In his message, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the Constitution in shaping modern India and urged citizens to reaffirm their commitment to upholding its principles.
Highlighting the achievements of the nation guided by constitutional values, the Prime Minister expressed pride in India’s democratic traditions and the strength of its institutions. He also paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the members of the Constituent Assembly for their vision in drafting a document that continues to inspire the nation.
As part of the celebrations, a joint session was held in the historic Central Hall of Parliament, where the President, Vice President, and other key leaders addressed the gathering. The event included the release of commemorative stamps, coins, and a special edition of the Constitution in Sanskrit and Marathi.
The Prime Minister also attended a special program at the Supreme Court in the evening, underscoring the enduring partnership between the executive and the judiciary in upholding the rule of law. The day was observed with the theme “Our Constitution, Our Pride” across the country, with various educational and cultural programs dedicated to raising awareness about the values enshrined in the Constitution.
