Baran: Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, during his visit to Rajasthan on Monday, participated in the state-level programme of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) in Baran along with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
On the occasion, Chouhan handed over to the Chief Minister an approval letter for the construction of 2,89,355 houses under PMAY-G, involving a project outlay of ₹3,473 crore.
He also handed over an approval letter for ₹340.59 crore for agricultural development initiatives under the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana.
The programme was attended by Members of Parliament, MLAs, ministers in charge and a large number of local residents.
The approvals are aimed at strengthening rural housing and supporting agricultural development initiatives in the state.
