The dedication ceremony of the renovated lamp pillar (Deepasthambham) at the eastern entrance of the Guruvayur Temple will be held on Monday evening.
Devaswom Minister K. Muraleedharan will officially dedicate the renovated structure at a function scheduled for 6 p.m.
The renovation work was sponsored as an offering by Sanil Kumar, a businessman based in Chennai. Temple authorities said the restored lamp pillar is expected to enhance the aesthetic and spiritual appeal of the temple’s eastern entrance.
