New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the Indian contingent for winning five gold medals at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2026, held in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
The Indian team comprising Kanishk Jain, Riddhesh Anant Bendale, Rishit Garg, Shresth Suraiya, and Svarit Joshi secured gold medals, marking another outstanding achievement for the country on the global stage.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister praised the students’ exceptional performance, describing it as a reflection of the limitless potential of India’s youth and their passion for science and research.
He also highlighted India’s consistent success at the International Physics Olympiad, noting that Indian students have delivered exceptional performances across various editions of the competition over the past decade.
