New Delhi: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday reviewed the progress of the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PM-DDKY), with a focus on improving implementation across 100 identified districts and ensuring measurable benefits for farmers.
The scheme aims to boost agricultural productivity, promote crop diversification, improve irrigation and storage facilities, expand access to farm credit and strengthen service delivery.
The review noted that all 100 districts have submitted their District Action Plans and performance data. The average score across the scheme’s six objectives improved from 22.54 in April 2026 to 38.85 in July.
The government is also strengthening dashboard-based monitoring to track beneficiary-level outcomes. Since January, 6.9 lakh farmers and 88,961 extension workers have received training, including in natural farming.
