Kochi: The Kerala High Court has granted police protection to an inter-faith couple from Jharkhand who fled their home state due to threats from their families. The couple approached the court seeking security, citing fear for their lives.
In their petition, they stated that they faced severe opposition from their families over their relationship and had to leave Jharkhand to ensure their safety. The court, after considering their plea, directed the Kerala Police to provide necessary protection to the couple and ensure their safety while they reside in the state.
