Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala University and the University of Calicut have postponed examinations scheduled for Monday in view of the FIFA World Cup final.
University authorities said the revised dates for the postponed examinations will be announced later.
Earlier, the Kerala government declared a holiday for all educational institutions across the state on Monday to enable students to watch the World Cup final. Education Minister N. Shamsudheen said the decision was taken in response to requests from students.
Apart from Kerala, educational institutions in Meghalaya and Manipur will also remain closed on Monday due to the FIFA World Cup final.
