Free Training Programme on Indigenous Cow Rearing and Value-Added Products to be Held at Kodakara

A free training programme on the conservation of indigenous cattle and income-generation opportunities from cow-based products will be held at Kodakara in Thrissur district on June 21, 2026 (Sunday).

The training session, titled “Indigenous Cow Conservation and Income Opportunities,” will be led by K. K. Shaju, Managing Council Member of the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.

The programme will cover a wide range of topics, including indigenous cow rearing, production and marketing of Panchagavya products, organic farming practices, bio-fertilisers, natural pesticides, terrace farming, and the manufacture of value-added products such as herbal cosmetics, tooth powder, Panchagavya soap, incense sticks, bath powders, dish wash liquids, medicinal preparations, clay lamps, and decorative items.

The training will be conducted from 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. at Vijaya College (Vijaya Institute), near the Girls LP School, Kodakara, Thrissur.

Participation is open to all interested individuals. Those wishing to attend are required to register in advance by sending their name and place via WhatsApp to 8137910410.

Participants are advised to bring a notebook and pen. A fee of ₹150 will be collected to cover refreshments, including morning tea and snacks, lunch, and evening tea and snacks.
