Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday shared an article by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, highlighting how the modernisation of railway tracks is transforming India’s rail network.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister noted that initiatives such as track renewal, advanced testing, and mechanised maintenance have significantly improved ride quality and enabled higher train speeds.
He said these upgrades are helping reduce delays, ensure smoother journeys, and allow the railways to better handle increasing passenger and freight demand across the country.
Calling the article a “must-read,” Modi underlined the importance of continuous infrastructure improvements in strengthening the efficiency and dependability of Indian Railways.
