Veena T, daughter of former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in Kochi on Wednesday for questioning in connection with a money laundering case involving her now-defunct IT firm and mining company Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited.

Veena reached the ED office around 10.30 a.m. in response to fresh summons issued by the central agency as part of its ongoing investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Security was tightened outside the ED office, with a heavy police presence deployed in the area. Veena arrived in a vehicle and entered the office for questioning amid media attention.

The case relates to alleged financial transactions involving her former IT company and CMRL, which are under scrutiny by the ED as part of its money laundering probe.
