New Delhi: Thousands of users across the world, including in India, reported problems accessing Meta-owned social media platforms Facebook and Instagram on Sunday.
According to outage tracking website Downdetector, reports of login and access issues surged during the afternoon before gradually declining a few hours later.
Several Facebook users encountered an error message stating: “Account Temporarily Unavailable. Your account is currently unavailable due to a site issue. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes.”
The temporary disruption affected users in multiple countries, with many unable to log into their accounts or access platform services. Meta had not issued an official statement on the cause of the outage at the time of reporting.
