Bomb Threat at Reserve Bank of India Sparks Investigation

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in Mumbai received a bomb threat via email on December 13, 2024. The email, written in Russian, threatened to blow up the bank. Authorities immediately launched an investigation, and the police registered a case against an unidentified individual at the Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg (MRA Marg) Police Station.

Law enforcement, including Mumbai Police, has deployed bomb detection units and increased security measures at the RBI office. The email’s sender is being traced, and cybercrime specialists are involved in the probe to determine the source of the threat. No suspicious objects have been found so far, and the situation is being closely monitored to ensure public safety.
