On October 28, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, joined by Spain’s Prime Minister, will inaugurate the TATA Aircraft Complex in Vadodara, marking a transformative step for India’s defense industry. This complex, the first private sector Final Assembly Line for military aircraft in India, will be dedicated to producing the C-295 transport aircraft—a joint initiative between Airbus and Tata Advanced Systems. The facility strengthens India’s move toward self-reliance in defense manufacturing while creating substantial employment opportunities.

Following the launch, PM Modi will proceed to Amreli, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹4,900 crores. These projects, spanning infrastructure and connectivity improvements, are set to drive growth and modernization in the region, enhancing the quality of life for local communities. This historic visit underscores India’s commitment to defense self-sufficiency and regional development.
