The Department of Fisheries has completed 23 of the 32 identified activities under Special Campaign 6, being implemented from October 2 to 31, 2026, to promote cleanliness, reduce pendency and improve office management.
The department has reviewed 400 physical files, identified 350 for weeding out and removed 287 files so far. It has also resolved 80 per cent of public grievances and initiated measures for the scientific disposal of electronic waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
More than 35 social media posts have been published by the department and its six offices to raise awareness about the campaign.
The department said efforts were continuing to complete the remaining activities and clear pending matters before the campaign concludes on October 31.
