FIR Filed Against Vedanta Officials After Blast Kills 20 Workers in Chhattisgarh

Police have registered an FIR against officials of the Vedanta power plant and others following a deadly explosion that killed 20 workers in Sakti district.

The blast occurred on April 14 at the plant located in Singhitarai village. According to officials, a steel tube carrying high-pressure steam from the boiler to the turbine burst, triggering the explosion.

The incident resulted in the death of 20 workers, while 16 others sustained serious burn injuries and are undergoing treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the accident to determine the cause and fix responsibility for the lapse.
