West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari Meets PM Modi in Delhi

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday.

The meeting marked Adhikari’s first official interaction with the prime minister after taking oath as the chief minister on May 9 following the BJP’s victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the leaders discussed issues related to the development of West Bengal. Suvendu Adhikari later said the prime minister assured full support from the Centre for the state’s economic growth, industrial revival and youth empowerment.

He also thanked Modi for his continued commitment towards the progress of West Bengal and said the state was ready to move towards a new phase of development and transparent governance.
