Severe Heat Continues in Uttar Pradesh; Banda Sizzles at 46.4°C

Uttar Pradesh continued to reel under intense heat on Friday, with several districts recording temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, Banda was the hottest place in the state, recording a maximum temperature of 46.4 degrees Celsius, nearly 3 degrees above normal.

Prayagraj followed closely with 46.2 degrees Celsius, which was 4.9 degrees above normal levels.

In the state capital Lucknow, the maximum temperature settled at 42.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was recorded at 28.8 degrees Celsius.

The weather department said there was no immediate relief expected from the scorching heat conditions across the state.
