New Delhi: Skyroot Aerospace is set to make history with the maiden orbital launch of Vikram-1, India’s first privately developed orbital launch vehicle, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. today.
The four-stage rocket has been designed to provide rapid, reliable, and on-demand satellite launch services, marking a major milestone in India’s growing private space sector.
The mission reflects the country’s expanding space capabilities and highlights the impact of space-sector reforms that have opened new opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship, and private participation.
Extending his best wishes to the Skyroot Aerospace team, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he hoped the Vikram-1 mission would achieve success, create history, and inspire a new generation of innovators. He also encouraged people across the country, especially young Indians, to follow the mission and express their support using the hashtag #IndiaWithVikram1.
