Ranchi: Preparations are in full swing in Ranchi for the annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, with authorities intensifying security and logistical arrangements ahead of the festival on July 16.
A high-level review meeting was chaired by Additional Director General (Headquarters) Manoj Kaushik, who assessed the preparations along with district police officials and members of the Jagannath Temple Managing Committee.
Speaking to reporters, Kaushik said the meeting focused on ensuring comprehensive security measures and smooth coordination for the peaceful, safe and well-organised conduct of the Rath Yatra and the accompanying fair.
Officials said all necessary arrangements are being put in place to facilitate the large number of devotees expected to participate in the annual festival.
