Kolkata: West Bengal Governor RN Ravi on Sunday said Pakistan would never recover from the impact of Operation Sindoor, asserting that India is more secure today than at any point since Independence.
Speaking at the Devrishi Narad Jayanti and Narad Samman 2026 programme held at Sisir Mancha in Kolkata, Ravi said the country’s approach to national security has undergone a significant transformation in recent years. He contrasted India’s earlier defensive stance with what he described as a more decisive and assertive response to security challenges.
The Governor also remarked that West Bengal has entered a “new dawn” after a prolonged period of darkness, expressing confidence that the state’s development would play a vital role in India’s overall progress.
Ravi’s remarks highlighted the government’s emphasis on strengthened national security and the importance of West Bengal’s contribution to the country’s future growth.
