New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday appealed to parents, students and citizens to join the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar following the hospitalisation of activist Sonam Wangchuk, who was on an indefinite hunger strike demanding reforms in the examination system.
Wangchuk was shifted to a hospital by Delhi Police on the 21st day of his fast after his health reportedly deteriorated.
Reacting to the development, Kejriwal urged the public to stand in solidarity with those participating in the protest and supporting the demand for changes to the country’s examination system.
Meanwhile, following Wangchuk’s removal from the protest site, CJP founder Abhijit Dipke announced that he would continue the agitation by launching his own indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar.
