Satheesan criticises CPI(M) over alleged communal remarks against Malappuram

Thiruvananthapuram: Keralam Chief Minister V D Satheesan on Sunday criticised the CPI(M) over alleged communal remarks made recently by one of its leaders against Malappuram.

Satheesan alleged that the remarks were a continuation of what he described as former chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s “anti-Malappuram” statements during his tenure as chief minister.

He demanded that Vijayan and the CPI(M) central leadership clarify their position on the issue. In posts on Facebook and X, Satheesan also warned that strict action would be taken against anyone making communal remarks.

He further demanded that the Left party apologise to the people of Malappuram.
