
New Delhi: President of India Droupadi Murmu on Saturday met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at Rashtrapati Bhavan during his first visit to India.
Welcoming President Pezeshkian, Murmu expressed appreciation for the support extended by Iran during India’s BRICS presidency.

The two leaders discussed the longstanding ties of friendship between India and Iran, including their strong cultural and people-to-people connections.
President Murmu reiterated India’s commitment to promoting lasting peace in the region and called for conflicts to be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
