Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said India is preparing to lead the economy of the future by investing in its youth, innovation and skill development.
Addressing beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, Modi said the country’s young population is its greatest strength and will play a crucial role in driving global growth, entrepreneurship and technological advancement in the coming years.
The Prime Minister noted that India is witnessing rapid expansion in sectors such as startups, digital services, manufacturing, space technology and artificial intelligence, creating new employment opportunities for millions of young people. He said the government’s focus is on ensuring that every young Indian gets opportunities to develop skills and succeed in a changing global economy.
Modi also highlighted the growth of India’s startup ecosystem, stating that the country now has more than two lakh registered startups spread across nearly every district. He said increasing global confidence in India’s innovation ecosystem is opening new avenues for investment, employment and economic growth.
