Prime Minister expresses deep grief as Jain seer Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj attains Samadhi

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi expressed deep grief as Jain seer Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj attains Samadhi.

Shri Modi said that the demise of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj is an irreparable loss for the country.

The Prime Minister also said that Acharya Ji’s valuable efforts for spiritual awakening among the people will always be remembered. Throughout his life he remained engaged in poverty alleviation as well as promoting health and education in the society, Shri Modi further added.

The Prime Minister also recalled his meeting with Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj last year at Chandragiri Jain Temple in Chhattisgarh and said that the meeting will be unforgettable for him.

The Prime Minister posted on X;

“The demise of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj Ji is an irreparable loss to the country. His valuable efforts for spiritual awakening among the people will always be remembered. He was engaged in eradicating poverty throughout his life as well as promoting health and education in the society. It is my good fortune that I have been continuously receiving his blessings. Meeting him at the Chandragiri Jain temple in Chhattisgarh last year will be memorable for me. Then I received a lot of affection and blessings from Acharyaji. It will be unforgettable for me. Then I received a lot of affection and blessings from Acharyaji. His unparalleled contribution to society will continue to inspire every generation of the country. ”
