Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has constituted a three-member expert committee to assess the safe removal of debris from the Wayanad tunnel and township project sites following the recent landslide in the district.
The committee will visit the affected locations and submit a detailed report on the methods and safety measures required for clearing the debris.
The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister V D Satheesan, which was attended by Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and Public Works Minister P K Basheer, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office.
