Kerala CM Launches Official Website of Wayanad Literature Festival 2026

Thiruvananthapuram: The official website of the third edition of the Wayanad Literature Festival (WLF), India’s largest rural literature festival, was launched by Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan.

Kerala Minister for Agriculture and WLF Patron T. Siddique presided over the event. MLAs Usha Vijayan and I.C. Balakrishnan, along with Festival Director and senior journalist Dr. Vinod K. Jose, addressed the gathering.

The four-day festival will be held at Dwaraka, Mananthavady, from December 20 to 23, 2026. Organised on a biennale model, the festival will bring together leading writers, cultural personalities, filmmakers and artists from India and abroad.

The 2026 edition will feature panel discussions, conversations and an international academic conference, with special focus on issues such as climate change, farmers’ livelihoods and tribal rights.

Writer V.H. Nishad and journalist Leena Geetha Raghunath are serving as the festival curators.

The festival will be inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan at 11 a.m. on December 20 at Dwaraka, Mananthavady.
