New Delhi: India’s humanitarian assistance sent to earthquake-hit Venezuela under Operation Amistad has reached the country, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said on Sunday.
The relief consignment includes emergency supplies, medical equipment and a field hospital unit to support rescue and relief operations in the disaster-affected nation.
Sharing the update on social media platform X, Jaishankar said the humanitarian assistance would strengthen ongoing relief efforts and reaffirmed India’s commitment to standing with Venezuela during the crisis.
The assistance is part of Operation Amistad, India’s humanitarian mission launched to provide immediate relief and medical support to people affected by the devastating earthquake in Venezuela.
