Gold prices in Kerala recorded a decline on May 18, bringing some relief to jewellery buyers. According to rate details the price of gold dropped by ₹65 per gram.
The rate of 916 hallmark gold is now ₹14,320 per gram, while the price for eight grams (one sovereign) stands at ₹1,14,560.
Meanwhile, 18-carat gold is priced at ₹11,830 per gram, with eight grams costing ₹94,640.
Silver prices also witnessed a fall, with the metal now priced at ₹290 per gram and ₹2,320 for eight grams.
Jewellery traders said fluctuations in international market trends and investor sentiment continue to influence gold and silver prices in the domestic market.
