Gurugram: A dispute between two groups over feeding stray dogs escalated into a physical clash at a residential society in Sector 67 here, police said on Friday.
The incident took place at Shri Vardhman Mantra Society at around 9.30 pm on Thursday.
According to a complaint filed with the Sector-65 police, two women were allegedly assaulted by some residents while they were feeding stray dogs outside the society.
The women alleged that they were slapped and had their hair pulled during the altercation. They further claimed that some residents attempted to snatch their mobile phones to prevent them from recording the incident.
Police have received the complaint and are investigating the incident. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry.
