Thiruvananthapuram: Gold prices in Kerala increased sharply on today, with the price of 22-carat gold rising by ₹70 per gram.
According to the latest market rates, 22-carat (916) gold is now priced at ₹13,160 per gram, while the rate for 8 grams has climbed to ₹1,05,280.
The price of 18-carat gold stands at ₹10,810 per gram, with 8 grams costing ₹86,480.
Meanwhile, silver is being sold at ₹235 per gram, taking the price of 8 grams to ₹1,880.
The increase reflects the continued upward trend in precious metal prices, with jewellers closely monitoring global market movements and domestic demand.
