Five More Rescued from Kolkata Warehouse Collapse, Several Still Feared Trapped

Kolkata: Rescue teams pulled five more people alive from the debris of the under-construction warehouse that collapsed in Kolkata’s Taratala area on Thursday, officials said.

The death toll in the incident remains at five, while 25 injured persons are undergoing treatment at various hospitals.

Rescue operations have been continuing for more than 18 hours since the collapse, with emergency personnel using heavy machinery and specialized equipment to search through the rubble.

Officials said several people are still feared trapped beneath the debris, and efforts are underway to locate and rescue the remaining victims. The cause of the collapse is yet to be determined, and an investigation is expected to follow.
