DYFI Conference Sees Criticism Over Candidate Selection in Kerala Assembly Polls

Palakkad: Representatives at the DYFI Palakkad district conference criticised the candidate selection process for the Kerala Assembly elections, alleging that several capable young leaders were overlooked despite being eligible to contest.

Delegates from the Thrithala and Shoranur block committees voiced strong criticism of the previous government’s approach, claiming that the selection of candidates had gone wrong in several constituencies. They also raised concerns over alleged shortcomings in cooperative sector appointments and the implementation of certain government orders.

The representatives said that both the party leadership and its workers share responsibility for the election defeat. They argued that sidelining young leaders with strong public support had proved to be a setback and maintained that the leadership could not evade accountability for the party’s electoral performance.
