BJP Delays Delhi CM Announcement Ahead of Oath Ceremony

New Delhi – After a 27-year wait, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to form the next government in Delhi, following their triumph in the recent assembly elections. The grand swearing-in ceremony for the new Chief Minister is scheduled for February 20 at Ramlila Maidan.

However, the name of the Chief Minister remains undecided. BJP sources reveal that the final decision will be made during the legislature party meeting, now postponed to February 19.

The delay has sparked criticism from the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC), with President Devender Yadav raising concerns about the internal power struggles within the BJP. He emphasized that the lack of clarity on leadership could impact Delhi’s governance at a critical time.
