Bharat Taxi has expanded its services to Mumbai with the launch of a driver onboarding initiative aimed at strengthening urban mobility and improving driver livelihoods.
The programme was inaugurated on April 23 by Piyush Goyal at Kamla Vihar Sports Club in Kandivali West. The event saw participation from hundreds of auto-rickshaw and cab drivers, along with transport union representatives and members of cooperative associations.
The initiative focuses on driver welfare, digital enablement, and integrating drivers into organised mobility systems. It aims to provide structured access to digital platforms, improve transparency, and enhance earning opportunities for drivers.
Officials said the move is expected to boost participation in the formal transport sector while supporting the growth of efficient and technology-driven urban mobility services.
