New Delhi: The Ministry of Ayush has issued Standard Treatment Guidelines (STGs) for managing dermatological disorders across Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy, with the inclusion of Yoga.
Prepared by the Ayush Vertical of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the guidelines aim to improve standardisation, quality assurance and evidence-informed clinical practice across these systems.
Released on the occasion of the 11th Ayurveda Day, the guidelines provide recommendations for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of common skin conditions, including psoriasis, dermatitis, vitiligo, urticaria and dermatophytosis.
Union Minister of State for Ayush Prataprao Jadhav said the guidelines would support safer, more consistent patient care and strengthen the integration of Ayush systems into the national healthcare framework.
