Madhyapradesh: A three-day Advanced Agriculture Festival, Exhibition, and Training programme began at Dussehra Maidan in Raisen on Saturday, bringing together farmers, experts, and policymakers on a common platform.
The event was inaugurated by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Addressing the gathering, Rajnath Singh highlighted his personal connection to farming and acknowledged the challenges faced by farmers. He said the initiative would help improve agricultural practices and enhance farmers’ livelihoods.
He also emphasised the impact of government schemes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including PM-Kisan, crop insurance, and Soil Health Cards, stating that these programmes ensure direct financial support and protection for farmers.
The festival aims to promote modern farming techniques, knowledge-sharing, and innovation to strengthen the agriculture sector.
