Mumbai: Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai on Saturday evening due to a chest infection and exhaustion, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle said.
The 92-year-old singer is currently undergoing treatment at the Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai.
Earlier reports had suggested that she suffered a cardiac arrest and pulmonary complications. However, her family clarified that she was admitted primarily due to a chest infection and fatigue.
