Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning predicting a temperature rise of up to 3°C in Kerala over the next two days. Certain regions in the state are likely to experience temperatures higher than the seasonal average, leading to hot and uncomfortable weather conditions.
The IMD has advised people to avoid direct exposure to sunlight between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., stay hydrated, and wear light, loose cotton clothing.
The rise in temperature, combined with high humidity levels, could result in heat-related health issues, including dehydration and heatstroke. Authorities have urged schools, workplaces, and outdoor workers to take necessary precautions to minimize exposure during peak hours.
Residents are encouraged to follow the guidelines issued by the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) and remain alert to further updates from weather officials.
