Ram Mandir Construction Committee chairman Nripendra Mishra on Sunday welcomed the Uttar Pradesh government’s decision to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe alleged irregularities in the donation funds of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
Speaking to reporters at the Faizabad Circuit House, Mishra said the formation of the SIT reflected the government’s prompt response and described it as a significant step. Meanwhile, the three-member inquiry panel reached Ayodhya on Sunday evening to begin its investigation.
The Uttar Pradesh government had constituted the SIT on Saturday following allegations of misappropriation of donation funds collected by the trust overseeing the construction and management of the Ram Temple. The probe aims to examine the allegations and ensure transparency in the handling of donations.
