An internship programme for degree students has been launched under the Kozhikode District Literacy Mission, offering hands-on exposure to literacy and continuing education activities.
The initiative, conducted as part of programmes led by the Kerala State Literacy Mission, aims to help students understand and analyse various literacy and continuing education efforts. Interns will have opportunities to engage in data collection, take classes for literacy and equivalency programmes at fourth and seventh standards, and prepare analytical reports.
The programme was inaugurated at the District Literacy Mission Hall, with District Panchayat President Milli Mohan Kottarathil presiding over the event. District Coordinator P. N. Babu, along with P. Shemitha Kumari, P. K. Anjali, and T. C. Narayanan, led the session.
Students from various colleges, including both undergraduate and postgraduate participants, have enrolled in the internship programme. The initiative is expected to strengthen student engagement with community-based education and literacy development activities.
