New Delhi: The nation on Friday remembered the brave security personnel who sacrificed their lives during the 2001 Parliament terror attack, as Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Members of Parliament paid solemn tributes to the fallen heroes. A brief commemorative ceremony was held outside the old Parliament building, now known as Samvidhan Sadan, as part of the annual observance on December 13.
Wreaths were laid and silence observed in honour of the security forces whose courage thwarted the terrorist assault and safeguarded India’s democratic heart. Leaders recalled the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs, reaffirming the country’s collective resolve to stand united against terrorism.
