A woman police officer in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district has been suspended for allegedly failing to take effective action against illegal sand mining in the Chambal River region.
According to officials, Morena Superintendent of Police Dharmaraj Meena ordered the immediate suspension of Sabalgarh Station House Officer (SHO) Rajkumari Parmar. The action was taken following allegations of negligence in duty and inadequate efforts to curb illegal mining activities.
Authorities said Parmar failed to take stringent measures against illegal sand extraction and did not provide sufficient cooperation to administrative officials during enforcement operations. An inquiry into the matter is underway.
