Sri Vijaya Puram: Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Saturday inaugurated the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ by hoisting the National Flag at Flag Point in Sri Vijaya Puram on the occasion of August Kranti Diwas.
The event commemorated the historic Quit India Movement of 1942, which marked a significant milestone in India’s struggle for independence.
The Vice-President’s participation in the flag-hoisting ceremony marked the beginning of the campaign in the region, encouraging citizens to display the Tricolour at their homes as a tribute to the nation’s freedom fighters and their contribution to India’s independence.
