Veteran Actor Mithun Chakraborty Hospitalized in Kolkata After Feeling Uneasy.

Kolkata, West Bengal: Legendary actor and politician Mithun Chakraborty, 73, was admitted to a Kolkata hospital on Saturday after experiencing uneasiness upon returning home from a film shoot. He is currently undergoing treatment, but details regarding his health remain unavailable.

Fondly known as “Mithun Da” by his fans, Chakraborty has enjoyed a long and illustrious career in Indian cinema. He began his acting journey with the critically acclaimed film “Mrigayaa” (1976), which earned him a National Film Award for Best Actor. He went on to star in numerous popular movies, including “Disco Dancer” (1982), “Agneepath” (1990), “Ghar Ek Mandir” (1984), “Jallad” (1991), and “Pyaar Jhukta Nahin” (1989).

Chakraborty is also a recipient of the prestigious Padma Bhushan award, which was announced earlier this year. Additionally, he has actively participated in politics, joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2021.
