Trump Threatens 25% Tariff on European Vehicles

US President Donald Trump has renewed tariff threats against the European Union, proposing a 25 per cent duty on cars and trucks imported from Europe.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the move was in response to the EU’s alleged failure to adhere to trade agreements with the United States.

He added that vehicles manufactured within the US would be exempt from the proposed tariffs, indicating a push to encourage domestic production.

The announcement is expected to escalate trade tensions between the US and the European Union.
