Traffic Curbs in Thiruvananthapuram Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit

Thiruvananthapuram: Traffic restrictions will be imposed in the state capital on Wednesday in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit for election campaigning in Tamil Nadu.

Modi is scheduled to arrive at the Thiruvananthapuram airport before proceeding to Nagercoil for campaigning in support of the AIADMK-NDA alliance.

Police said traffic curbs will be in place from 11:30 am to 7:00 pm. Parking will be strictly prohibited on both sides of key roads, and vehicles violating the rules will be towed away and legal action initiated.

Traffic regulations will be enforced on major routes including Domestic Airport–Chacka–Bakery Junction–Women’s College Junction–Thampanoor Flyover–Killipalam–Pallichal Road, as well as Chacka–Ananthapuri Hospital Road, Chacka–Venpalavattom–KIMS Hospital Road, and Pallimukku–Kumarapuram–Medical College Hospital Road.

Restrictions will also be in effect in areas such as Shanghumukham, Chacka, Vazhuthacaud, Poojappura, Thampanoor, and Nemom, police added.
